Our Church
About Us
Hope Baptist Church is located in the heart of downtown Anderson. We are an Independent Baptist Church. We strive to reach the community we are in with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We focus on teaching the Bible and applying it to our lives. We would love for you to join us in one of our services!
At Hope Baptist Church we have three goals: To exalt Jesus Christ, to evangelize the world, and to edify the saints.
Our Pastor
Pastor David Rickerd
Pastor David Rickerd started the church in 1989 with a group of college students that came out faithfully every week to Anderson to witness to the lost and spread the Gospel. Our pastor and his wife Becky are blessed with nine children.
Our Services
Sunday AM
Our Sunday morning service includes singing from hymns and expository preaching. This is an unrushed service with times to focus your heart and mind on hearing from God’s word.
Sunday PM
On Sunday nights we have 2 services happening during the hour. We have our adult service in the church building, where we sing a few hymns and have a Bible study. For the kids and youth we have a program for them in our Fellowship Hall where they will sing songs, play games, and hear an amazing Bible lesson.
Wednesday PM
This is a wonderful midweek service with singing hymns, and expository preaching. We also pray for the needs of people and praise the Lord for answered prayers.
Our Ministries
Discipleship
We have many opportunities for you to be discipled and for you to grow in your personal walk with the Lord. We believe that having a strong personal walk with the Lord is the foundation of all things.
Children/Youth
